Blink

Poetry by Mel Trent questions thoughts in the darkness.

what would I gain
by blinking in the dark?
would my violent violet
eyes get stuck
struck against the futility
of light?
if I told myself I
wasn't lost would
I believe that I was
found?
would I believe
in darkness?
