Epic

Mel Trent presents a poem about that evergreen quest.

I sailed across the ocean
boiling blue and green
I searched for the land of
answers to calm the
questions in my head
I rode across the desert
a burning void of sand
I climbed the highest mountain
stood freezing in the snow
I walked through crumbling cities
all in search of Truth
but answers eluded me
my arduous journey
unfulfilled a heartbreak
a failure I returned
empty handed and burned
tomorrow I will
head out again
