Left Alone in the Winter

Poetry for a cold and lonely time.

Left Alone in the Winter

Left alone,
I search for warmth
in this cold, unfeeling world.
Though all around me I see
many chances for love,
I stay away
never getting too close.
For the fire I felt before
became too bright
And I was burned,
then,
Left Alone.
