Too Simple, Really

look after yourself, you said
and then I knew
you don't love me
the way that I love you

looking after them
is what you do
when, free or not,
I'd look after you

if love is losing
then you've lost me
if love is choosing
you're where you choose to be

love's as simple
as you want it to be
simpler than the simplest lines
