Not Really Mysteries

"...are chains meant to be yanked?...

Your history,
hidden in the dark corners of the past.
Perhaps not that dark,
just unlit,
like a laboratory
filled with past experiments
you'd rather not talk about.

Connections
invisible links on a chain,
that connects past and present.
But are chains meant to be yanked?

You and I are friends
me and her are friends,
But you and her, friends,
of sorts?
Amusing but something of a mystery.

I'm sure there must be easy answers,
some I can figure out for myself.
Or ask.
But what fun is there in that?
