Campaign of Confusion

"...a simple understanding of herd psychology..."

Campaign of Confusion

Upon the stage
she stands primed and ready,
set to deliver
a sermon unto the pews
crowded with clamoring masses
who want to hear
at least one lie
in every sentence
that spews forth from her lips.

Another pied piper
with a simple understanding
of herd psychology
who is quite willing
to sell her sociopathic soul
for a pound of flesh
and a hint of power
in this fallen world
where the blind lead the blind
further toward oblivion.

Bring us your sick,
your tired, your poor,
and huddle them together
in a mass of confusion,
that they may be led
by the next maiden minion
of the warpath empire
into a collective state
of maddened agitation
through Balkanized division
so that their eyes may never see
the true threat
standing directly in front of them.
