Caroline

"A trinity of sisters..."

A trinity of sisters
In a crowded house.
Two daughters walked
Down the aisle.

But Caroline, is the
One that works well
With her hands.
In the kitchen and

The classroom.
Yellow chalk
Stained her hands.
Finger paint.

Her hair smells
Like pineapple.
Bottles of shampoo.
Relaxer cream.

She makes the
Leafy green salads
For the barbecue.
Where the family gathers.

She is the matriarch
Of the family.
She is the all-powerful.
Eating bitter fruit.
