Cotton Balls

I want to be
in a bubbling
energetic state
but I can't
My head feels
like it's stuffed
with cotton balls
My usual sagacity is
smothered,
my brainwaves
can't come through
I had my workout today
I have to,
to keep up
my tight body shape
It absorbed all my vivacity
My body has been trained
but my thoughts are
virtually brain-dead
