Imaginary Visions

"...The soulless rain beating against the windows of my mind..."

Imaginary Visions

Traveling down the road
A mere thin strip of concrete
Strung like a spider's web
Between nothing and nowhere

Waiting for our visionary road
To show us the way

Spun out of silk and gold
Waves laced with nothing
But dust in the mountains of madness

Slowly driving towards somewhere
Enjoying the timeless wind
The soulless rain
Beating against the windows of my mind

All around us poor tormented fools
Thinking they know the answer
But the question remains the same

How can one reconcile
The imaginary vision within
Of cosmic paradise
To the crude reality outside

Driving in a car
Heading to heaven
Only to find hell
Lurking around every corner
Too far to go to find home
