Promises Kept

"...there has to be peace somewhere..."

Promises Kept

I have to believe
the ring of promise. Have to.

Even if this doesn't make sense.
Even if the words
are in a language no one speaks
anymore.

I lay my hands on a velvet
surface of love sleeping.

There has to be an end to every
storm, there has to be peace somewhere
we can find it.

This promise must ring true.
Must.
