The Fading Line

By Edward Lee

The Fading Line

The horizon will be televised,
but the signals
are different frequencies, so
it's all blurry static
and hissing noise,

We are blind,
not knowing where
to point our destination,
unable to lift our eyes
from the screen
and look.
