A Young Woman Who Called Disorder To Order

The conviviality of the host country did not in any way deter
her from returning to her country of birth after completion
of her studies. Not even the collegiality that Nomsa enjoyed
could stand in her way. She was going to miss the incredible
cooperative relationship of her colleagues. No tinge of doubt.

She had to go back home and deal with what easily looked
like the impermanence of political normality bedeviling her
nation. To some of her friends and family members that
was an act of impudence and futility. Detained, tortured for
calling for the resignation of the president, she soldiered on.
