Brimming With A Royal Beauty

It was in that mighty club --
Southern Africa's transport hub,
Bulawayo was a fabulous visitor attraction,
It used to be spotlessness' cousin and definition.

Rich in cultural history --
It overflew with an artistic mystery,
Bulawayo had a royal presence unmatched
Which welcomed a tourist with a hospitable heart.

As the New Year begins in earnest, may the resilient residents
Take a moment to recharge their batteries, to wipe out fears
To reflect on their bold successes, fights, capacities and rights
Let them forge ahead as carriers of dreams, shields and spears

Thanks to brave activists' devolution strategies and noble fights
The city's abundance of talent and efforts shines and can be valued
In beautiful Bulawayo in particular and in Mthwakazi in general
For Zim had an ill-fated history of snubbing such royal cream!
