Living in Despair

"...Heart to mind to lips, gone from the universe..."

Living in Despair

Days pass into dreams,
foggy visions of nonreality.
Pain folds over despair
with crisp edges in its crease.

A knife follows the story,
never knowing truth.
Screaming into the dark
target of a tormented core.

Secrets breathe words
forever untold.
Heart to mind to lips,
gone from the universe.

Lonely church of the faithless,
standing tall, crumbling earthbound.
Afraid to ask for help,
days pass into dreams once more.
