Of Expired Prescriptions

"...as bigotry is foisted upon them like expired sedatives..."

Of Expired Prescriptions

there they are fleeing folly

elsewhere -- guns and genocides
forced marriages and persecutions

souls expelled from decency and peace
sons and daughters living like foundlings

as bigotry is foisted upon them like expired sedatives
as pretense steals the show from decency and empathy
