As Bikini Tops Jiggle and Lawn Mowers Reign Supreme

"...and sweet cricket song..."

As Bikini Tops Jiggle and Lawn Mowers Reign Supreme

Sitting in the sweltering sweat juices
of summer
it is hard to think
of igloos
or dog sled races
to the north pole
or brain freeze snow cones on the tongue
while lazy August feet shuffle lethargically
into the Labour Day heart
of the sun.

Soon
you'll be carving pumpkins
into candelabras
and watching winded leaves
turned state's witness.

But
until then,
more sweat
and stink
and sweet cricket
song

of
wonder.
