Stung

"...a wasp stuck its triangular head out..."

Stung

Besides the Baguette's backdoor a
long white tube-shaped drain
pipe
where wasps lived
I beat the pipe with a plastic bat
because
I was a little shit
and a wasp stuck its triangular head out
its inhuman eyes peered at me
it flew out
and I ran
but in place
like a dope
and got stung
on my neck
my feet finally gripped
the gravel
and I ran bawling
to the house
where Gramp
pulled the stinger out
with his fingertips
then dabbed mud
on the spot.
