Have an old house over your head
Invite the saints to see your bread
And damn your dead

Have an old house over your head.
Take the sprites and throttle them white
and beat your bed
with fists
and beat your head

Have an old house over your head

It's bright;
It's custom
Stuffable
Come-uppable
It's a beautiful peasant.

Have an old house over your head.
Have the demon in your thread
To wind about
To count the sermons and the seasons
Of your shining
