Teacher Mourned

" The man who taught, The heart that cared..."

Teacher Mourned

The man who taught
The heart that cared
The intellect that ignited

Care not confined to
Classroom, but beyond ...
Guidance that show path

Of life and beyond. Cinema
And the theory behind

Its making. Galaxies were
The topic of discussion

Light and shade and then
Light, but he forgot

Everything one day. Classes,
Students, lectures, the

Rays and the Ghataks, the
Italian neo realism and
The Battleship ... Everything.

His body was found in a
Train compartment.

He was hit by a train somehow
As unaware of himself he
Must have sauntered in the train tracks
And someone put his body in the carriage.

Students mourned his death.
I did not attend the mourning.

What is there to mourn?
He took care of us, but
We couldn't of him!
NOW, WHAT IS THERE TO MOURN?
