Pretence

"...The silvery moon and dusty night Run dry along the shining pavements..."

Pretence

Knowingly accepts the pretence of the darkness,
The silvery moon and dusty night
Run dry along the shining pavements,

Waiting for the unknown faces to bleed
Beyond the boundaries of the yard,

I wish my head can hold the longer memory
The sterner sense of justice,
Yet the accrued words capture little,

Searching in vain the unnamable stars
Down to their smallest particles,

What to do with these little truths
Emerging from the quivering footfalls?
The skeletal remains are now raising their voices,

Countless eyes
watch the ear-marked brutal scene
amidst the hissing of the stormy winds.
