Noon Delight

I don't want to
always be moving
incessantly forward
I long for a timeout
to just sit on the bench
or the rafters
or to just wander
like a Kung Fu drifter
kicking up sand
and I don't want to
compete with
ruthless reps
for lowdown
higher-ups
in fact I don't
care to be hired
only to walk the wire
in fear of being fired
I guess I find it enjoyable
being utterly unemployable
so remember to say "hey"
when you see me
with my feet up
throwing popcorn
at the screen
at some mindless matinee
