Touching a Star

"...brushed by a stellar breeze..."

Touching a Star

A body in the heavens
A shape made of light and dust
And her eyes begging for a sign.

She walks on a sandy land
Brushed by a stellar breeze
Her arms open to an embrace.

Dreaming of an eternal escape
She seems to question the planets
Eyes shut to the delight of her world.

She touches a star with her soul
Like she did so many times before
Living far above this shore.
