Horror of Light

"...Our world woke up to light..."

Horror of Light

In a not so ordinary day
someone somewhere somehow
trumped up the plan
to wake our world up from
primitive darkness under its hood.

Our world woke up to light,
too much light around, and then
it craved for even more
as the colony of beetles
flies to the smoldering wood.

As we continued our walk
into the horror of light,
addicted eyes one day lost eyesight,
and our blind world laid an egg,
unlike the one the fire-bugs brood.
