A Labor of Love
The coronavirus loves some more than others
millions of immigrant laborers worldwide
unemployed, unpaid, ill-housed, overcrowded
denied access to medical and public care and
policed to silence, condemned by politicians
a scapegoated, pool ripe for a virus lovefest
that will leap beyond the shabby, shaded corners
to embrace those in the palaces and government halls
and labor's love is not lost but found again and again
