Histrionic Personality Disorder

Histrionic Personality Disorder

My sympathy gives way to disgust after witnessing his insatiable lust for attention.
He lives only to gorge on his own reflection, a multitude of mirrors in his possession.
I find the constant need for unwarranted affection distressing.

The show never ends.
There is never enough solicited fanfare to satisfy.
Every moment becomes a device to engage and to entice any hapless passers-by.

Altruistic gestures ring false if one only gives to receive something in return.
How can I reach you when you leave me doubting and suspicious?
How can I trust you when I realize the only thing that motivates you is your keen sense of self-interest?
