Snake in Dream

"...And I woke up and saw your face..."

Snake in Dream

The other night I
Dreamt of a snake
Coiling up my spine
And with its forked
Tongue licked an old
Wound there.

And when I tried
To drive it away
It asked me about
You and whispered
That we were banished
From the garden because
Of him and then it turned
Into a saint and disappeared.

And I woke up and saw your face
Floating by the side of the moon
In the blue night sky and clouds
Floating near it forming a citadel.

Then I slept again and saw you
Transform into a cloudgirl, who
Drenched me in the rain.
