Hungry Dream

"One night I dreamt of a hungry kid..."

Hungry Dream

One night I dreamt
Of a hungry kid
begging in the streets.

And then the kid
Turned into god
And asked for
Alms from me.

Instead of giving
Him a penny I
Asked for his
Blessings and he
Blessed the earth, the
Hungry kid and me
And disappeared.

Then someone whispered
That there will come a day
When there will be no hunger
In the world.

And I woke up and
Whispered, "Let my dream
Come true." Did the gods
Listen? Or the men?
