The Blue Moon

By Aneek Chatterjee

The Blue Moon

The blue moon smiled and posed for
different angles, different lenses,
locations and moods.

A line escaped from my friend's poem
captioned: 'from my dark balcony
in a bright autumn evening'.

A relative in a faraway land
wondered why it was blue!
But he hailed the spectacular dazzle.

A mariner sent me golden
liquid, supposed to be blue,
but golden aplenty.

At midnight, i observed lonely close
And found it blue, absolutely
blue, in lens blurred by indignity, shame
