Coffee

"met an old buddy on the street..."

Coffee

met an old buddy
on the street
hey
he asked
how I had been
what I had to say
he gave me his views
unsolicited, on
national, international, local
news
then he asked me
did I have a couple dollars
to spare
"for a coffee"
and I gave him three bucks
all I had in my pocket
and he said "got to go," and
I said "yeah, I know ...
good luck!"
(I used to drink those "coffee's" too.)
