Inkblots

"...Did Rorschach corner the conscience..."

Inkblots

Black ink on white paper, a classic,
a deliberate daub placed
paper folded with origami precision.
We are opened out to dry,
two sides of the same die cast
mirror images created.
What do you see when you look?
Is this the real me inside?
Can you see the hyena grinning?
Did Rorschach corner the conscience?
did we break the fixed format?
Is this paranoia or more pareidolia
if we are gambling in life?
The wise man knows when to run.
Internet apophenia is legal
as the algorithms try to dictate
who we will associate with,
what we will buy, how to live our lives.
