Sargasso Sea

Sargasso Sea

Join me
in the Sargasso.
Be brave enough
to leave
your freshwaters,
that inland sea.

Let your eyes
open wide
to life's absurdities.
Show off
your shimmering
silver sides.

Swim hard
against the tides
of ill formed
opinions that hold
our minds
in netted estuaries.

Let desire
use nature's compass
needle point
across this Atlantic
blue drift,
feeling your way
under lunar tied night.

I will wait,
stranded as strings
of sea kelp.
In glass dreams
of elvers, misted yellow.
So we sink together
inside this triangle.
