where we stand, or where we kneel

a lover's leap or a
murder/suicide or this man on the
32nd floor with enough firepower to
                 win a war

you kill those who would take your freedom
and then you kill those who say they have none

you kill the children because
children grow up filled with ideas of revenge,
and do you really need reasons for
your actions when you hold all the power?

is there really such a thing as a
savior who might actually care?

all any of us can ever know for sure
is that everyone else is wrong
