Insomnia

"...my way of harboring you within my heart..."

Insomnia

Insomnia is not a disease,
It is an excuse to stay awake and stare at the black sky,
Painted with those formless cumulonimbus.

It is a conscious effort to feel loved,
When no one else is watching,
And the "I" is momentarily dead.

Insomnia is not a disease,
It is a moment to embrace my lofty dreams and not the deadly barbiturates,
With limitless aspirations.

It is my time to practice submission to the Absolute,
For the very owned gift called life,
Flowing inside my tired veins.

Insomnia is not a disease,
It is my way of harboring you within my heart where the Brahman resides.
And live beyond the realms of death.
