if I should die

By Robin Wyatt Dunn

if I should die

no and if I should die
raven-scented
unweighted
dapper as a gentleman at cards
unable to speak

now I am not only me
split
the last cord
unction and wept
almighty peons surfing the gloam to screw my bones into the seafloor

and I'll watch the current toss my body over and back through the dark
