Two Tiny, Forgettable Poems

"...only if we want to know..."

Two Tiny, Forgettable Poems

I

Our footprints,
like words in another language,
tell us something,
only if we want to know.

II

Even when my poems drag their feet,
they're easy
enough to ignore,
like a "Goodbye,"
said to someone
you thought you knew.
