Snow Covered Hill

Snow Covered Hill

The hill, concealed by a blanket
    of snowflakes glistening bright,
rests in the silent loneliness
    of winters frigid bite.
Wildflower seeds below,
    lying dormant, wait for spring;
for the golden sunbeam's warmth,
    when the birds return to sing.
