Jester

"...Not your partner but your clown..."

Jester

Here I am, for your amusement
Play with me, have your fun
Hide me when the company comes
Execute me when you’re done

I am here for your derision
In your life of indecision
Not your partner but your clown
Until you’re bored and put me down

You’re the queen and I’m the fool
At your mercy as you rule
I juggle blind, you flirt with him
Execute me at your whim

A fool for your amusement
I shout out my tepid blues
From the bells on my hat
To the bells on my shoes
