Fragile Fragments of Rocks and Building Block Burps

"...unlocking the mysteries of the universe ..."

Fragile Fragments of Rocks and Building Block Burps

The quick, successive popping
from a nail gun hammering away
atop a roof
on a building
across the city
during a Monday morning meditation
sounds like the drumbeat
thumping from a feverish heart
at the center of creation,
unlocking the mysteries of the universe
and opening a portal past petty disturbances
into new possibilities of infinite expansion
on the spiritual plane.

Ascending and twirling –
the spiraling energy
pulsing from
a worker’s dream
greases the wheel
toward enlightenment.

The Doozers have won the day
but all these works of art
will be gobbled up by nightfall
and digested in the guts
of a churning cosmos.
