Perpetual Superhighway

"...observing everything and hearing everything..."

Perpetual Superhighway

They stand and they watch,
on the precipice of our past, present and future,
inconspicuous and unobtrusive.
They are there in the mornings when we wake up, and
they are there in the evenings when we go to sleep,
observing everything and hearing everything.
They know our secrets, as
they have seen us at our best, and
at our worst.
They think for us, and
they perform for us,
making sure we are never alone.
They are a product of our insatiable desire
to mass produce.
The ubiquitous arms of our technological progress.
No secret’s safe.

Ping, Bleep, Bzzt, Vzzt….
