Moments

"...They all had been there, close by..."

Moments

It rolls through the
Veins
It rolls with the
Blood

Then…

It takes shape
And lingers like
An unliftable boulder
Somewhere between the
Heart and the throat

They all had been
There, close by…
Company, film shows together
Coffee, cigarette, chats apart…
All a telephone call away

But now the lines
Have got jammed
Somehow. I do not
Know who has installed
The jammer…

Faces…
Memories…
Tales…
Smiles…
Laughter…

At times they
Roll down the
Cheeks and drop on
The bare chest
Drop
By
Drop

The boulder then
Disappears only
To roll back
In its place
At some unguarded

MOMENT!
