After the Sermon

"...Something sparkling in the fleeting night..."

After the Sermon

Wrestling
With angels
And memory
Alluring
Exotic and colourful
More profound
Than mere breathing
Something sparkling
In the fleeting night
Deeply revered
Like a sinner
On the good path
After the rapture
Of the sermon
Has passed
Leaving nothing
At the end
Of another
Dying sky

The sounds and rthyms evoke the physicality of the "metaphysical" wrestling in After the Sermon. Good poem!
