A Different Kind of Saturday

"...tonight i’ll stay in, maybe work some words ..."

Different Kind of Saturday

This Saturday has shaped up better than
I first assumed; i woke, not too hungover
After the heroics of yesterday, and then i
Just sat around for minutes, then hours and
Finally something happened, my Dad
Called. We chatted a bit and i left him
With the words, ‘yeah, easy 1-nil to us,
You’ll see.’ As the clock ticks around
To injury-time that’s exactly what we have
But tonight i’ll stay in, maybe work some
Words or watch a rubbish old movie. Either
Way it’ll be a different kind of Saturday.
