Giovanni Ruffini lives in New York City. He is a Professor of Classical Studies in the Department of History at Fairfield University, specializing in the social history of Greco-Roman Egypt and Christian Nubia. His short stories combine a love of science fiction with a lifelong interest in the history and cultures of the Nile Valley and the Horn of Africa.
