Night in the City

By Luis Cuauhtémoc Berriozábal

Night in the City

Night in
the city,
and stars
witness us.

All of
them cry out.

Night stars
dish out judgment,
bright angels
on fire, suspended.

All of
them cry out
with such force.

At night
I hear them.

All of
them laugh
in the sky
like toy dolls.

All night
they cry out.
