My Shadow

"...my shadow joined me in this glee..."

My Shadow

I stretched out my arms to embrace the beauty around.
My shadow imitated me without a sound.
The strong sunlight behind
Made a sharp shadow well-defined.
The water of the Plitvice Lake was emerald green.
So much beauty was never before seen.
I shouted out in happiness and joy.
But my shadow remained silent with its hidden ploy.
My loved one took a photograph of me.
And my shadow joined me in this glee.
I love light and so does my shadow.
It has been roaming around with me in many a valley and meadow.
The poet in me, a worshipper of sunshine.
So the sunshine in return always forms a shadow of mine.
