Changes

Gregg Norman lives and writes in Manitoba, Canada. His work has been accepted by numerous poetry journals and literary magazines.

Changes

Scars on skin
see changes

Epiphanies
sea changes

From cradle to grave
rolling over me
like rogue tides

One day following
a herd of longhorns
the next day reading Yeats

Life’s cabinet
of curiosities

Anything to avoid sameness
the mundane buzz of homogeneity

Living upstairs
in the brain’s attic

Saving my spirit
from humdrummery

The monotone musings
of the masses

Tedium in the medium

Driving me outward
onward and upward

to new pursuits
passions devised

by a restless soul
and an unsettled psyche

I’ll die wanting
to be someone else

I enjoyed this interesting piece about life, and living it.
