You Make It Possible

By Ndaba Sibanda

You Make It Possible

They say you make life possible
to exist on Earth. I hear. It's audible.

Life shouldn't be hollow, maybe slow.
In the morning sometimes we stay out
for a while so that you bathe us in your glow.
We indulge in you, we bask in you: a shout-out!

Without the heat from you, the Earth would freeze.
Without you, how would plants grin, grow and sneeze?
We need plants for food and the oxygen they create.
Solar energy is life. Sun, light and heat, you radiate.
