An Unforgettable Payback Time

The cooks were busy preparing food for the guests
when crooks slipped through the cracks like roaches
and ominous slippery predators in a porous cupboard,
and seized the pricey meat, raced out, wolfed it down.

Yet all of the five trespassers were tracked down and easily
arrested like sleepy stationary grasshoppers a few meters
away from the crime scene while seeking to plead, placate
and free their riotous, rumbling, ballooning and boiling bellies!

It was payback time as they squealed in pain, prayer, distress and disgrace,
their tumultuous tummies teaching them a furious and fiery moral lesson
on how to respect other people’s places and property, or then again
on how to rein in diarrhea and vomit when you have invited both!
