Debt

By Patrick Devine

I find myself deep in your debt ...
that a smile from you would answer mine
and of myself I do forget
thinking in my heart 'that with due time ...'
For my own attention I have fought
as my mind wanders from its place
and journeys to a realm of thought
tis there that I see your radiant face,
and I think of how a heart is bought
with a smile of such easy grace ...
