Repeal
The hour is near,
and the puppets dance
as the orange monkey tweets
sound, fury, and hate.
The time has to come
to hurt the voiceless.
The poor, the old, the sick,
all will know pain with the vote.
Taking away humanity,
one piece at a time,
until all is left
is ground meat on the floor.
Ignorance is a disease,
and there is no cure.
Progress is hitting the brakes,
as we reverse to the 50s.
There will be no rights,
no kindness left to spare.
The band will play on,
citizens blinded by fear.
The baboon will dance,
Putin will smile.
And we'll be no closer to truth,
cause we lost it long ago.
